1. From your perspective, what is the outlook for your industry over the next 12 months?
We operate in the field of digital health and the topic of digitalization is omnipresent. Of course, developments in our field have fallen short of expectations in recent years – from investors to users and payers. However, the digitalization of healthcare is the future and you have to show staying power.
2. How do you think the working environment and staff have changed since the pandemic?
Since the pandemic, working from home has become the norm and we have switched to remote first, for example. This enables us to recruit the best talent from all over Europe (we are currently still avoiding other regions due to the time difference). We believe that today’s (top) applicants expect this flexibility.
3. What do you consider to be the most important skills in a professional environment?
Professionalism, competence, speed (sense of urgency) and commitment.
4. How do you assess the further development of AI?
Developments in AI have received an enormous boost from OpenAI and are now indispensable for many simple activities, such as content generation. AI will play an ever greater role and leverage in everyday professional and private life. There are still limitations at the moment, but hundreds of billions are currently being invested in training.
5 Where would you be today if you had taken a different career path?
I would have liked to become a professor and pursue my academic career after my doctorate. My 15-year-old self, on the other hand, was convinced that I would become a hotel manager because I like the sun, the sea and providing service to customers.
